The cuts are roughly split between the Vision Pro organisation and Siri-related software teams. Apple says the restructuring is part of an effort to realign teams and accelerate development of new AI features.
Apple is also reportedly reducing its internal Vision Pro gaming operation and scaling back its immersive-video team. The move comes as Apple puts greater emphasis on AI and new wearable products, including its longer-term smart-glasses strategy.
